Word Microscope User Licence Agreement

Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We provide Word Microscope under our trading name Ramsden Educational
Software (referred to here as RES).

This Licence Agreement is our contract with you for the use of Word
Microscope.

As a user of Word Microscope, you or your organisation are the
Licensee.

RES grants you a right to use Word Microscope only within the terms of
this licence. The same terms extend to staff and students within your
organisation.

Copyright

Word Microscope is Copyright Neil and Louise Ramsden (c) 2006-2013.
All rights reserved.

Morpheme data used by Word Microscope is co-owned by us with Peter and
Susan Bowers.

There are several third-party components, such as the word list, which
have their own separate copyright. To the best of our knowledge, they
are licensed to allow normal Word Microscope distribution and use.

Licence Period
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trial versions of Word Microscope are generally only available for a
limited time period. Payment of the required fee removes that time
limit.

It is your responsibility to take sufficient care of the media
containing your copy of the program and any data provided for it to
run.

Permitted Uses
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Licence is not transferable. You may only use Word Microscope on
a computer that is owned by your purchasing organisation, or owned by
you or your household if you bought it for personal use.

At any one time, you must not exceed the number of individual users
which you have paid for. Unless specified otherwise, a temporary trial
version allows for any number of simultaneous users.

This Licence does not give you the automatic right to use future
versions of Word Microscope.

Software Protection
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Licensee you are not permitted to modify the program code in any
way. You must not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the
licensed software.

Word Microscope includes accompanying program data, which was created
by us and which is covered by this Licence. This may be modified for
your own internal use if you are confident in doing so (for example if
you detect an orthographic error). The resulting data file will
continue to be owned by us as a derivative work. We ask you, but do
not require you, to send us a copy of any such changes.

Disclaimer
~~~~~~~~~~
While reasonable effort has been taken in testing Word Microscope, you
use this program at your own risk. In any case, the total of any
refund or damages will not exceed the price you paid for this version
of the software.

We accept no responsibility for the content of third-party websites
accessed through Word Microscope.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL
RES OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT,
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION,
DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF
BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE
USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT OR THE PROVISION OF OR
FAILURE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES, EVEN IF RES HAS BEEN ADVISED OF
THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ANY CASE, RES'S ENTIRE LIABILITY
UNDER ANY PROVISION OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE
AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

Ownership
~~~~~~~~~
This software is licensed not sold. Neil and Louise Ramsden retain the
title and ownership of Word Microscope.

You must not sell on (or hire out) any copies of the Word Microscope
program without our express permission!

Termination
~~~~~~~~~~~
This Licence is effective until terminated by RES. It will terminate
automatically without further notice if you fail to comply with any
provision of this Licence.

If you do not accept these conditions, please remove Word Microscope
from your computers.

Governing Law
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Licence Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales.
