Trouble Shooting - what if a spelling tool doesn't run

Browser test

Since this is free software there's limited emphasis on getting this to work faultlessly on any machine; but I hope it has a reasonable chance of working well for anyone who wants to try any of it. My personal aim is to test concepts rather than try out obscure programming tricks.

There's certainly no express or implied warranty.

The main likely causes of problems are:

• real errors in the programs -- quite possible, but I hope user comments will help me remove them;
• security settings in your browser that prohibit JavaScript -- the computer language in which these are written;
• old or incompatible browsers -- I test on Internet Explorer and Mozilla - you can find up-to-date copies for these available on the Web.
  

The simple browser test can help decide where there might be a problem.
